The International Mermaid Museum in Aberdeen WA

WESTPORT, WA - Located in Westport, WA, the International Mermaid Museum offers visitors a glimpse into the world of mermaids and ocean life. It is a non-profit museum dedicated to educating visitors about the natural beauty and ecology of the ocean.

The museum features an array of historical artifacts, mermaid art, and educational exhibits. It is part science museum and part art gallery. It is open daily from 11:00 to 6:00 p.m. and features live performances.

Visitors can take a tour of the grounds. The museum accepts donations of mermaid memorabilia. It is also open during the annual mermaid festival, which is held from March 26 to April 3. At the Mermaid Festival, many mermaids will make appearances. During the festival, there will be a Pirate Treasure Hunt. Guests will have the chance to win prizes for completing the hunt. The Mermaid Festival also features live performances by a real mermaid named Una. This mermaid performs in a traveling aquatic tank on weekends.

Visitors can also take a free hour-long class with Olive the Alchemist, a professional mermaid. The courses cover topics such as mermaid physicality, immersion, and believability. The classes are free for aspiring mermaids and will be held at 4 p.m. The classes will also cover safety for performers.

The Mermaid Museum is part of the Westport Winery Garden Resort. Visitors can tour the grounds or enjoy the Sea Glass Grill. The museum also features a gift shop with merchandise relating to mermaids.
