If you want a family-friendly day, check out the Kids Adventure Zone. It's an area where kids can play in the snow and get some practice skiing.

If you're an intermediate skier, check out the Front Side. This side of the mountain is dotted with black diamond runs. You can try the Blue Sky Basin for more challenging terrain. This area features a majority of ungroomed trails.

If you plan hiking, the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens is at the foot of the mountain. You can enjoy some fresh air while you enjoy the breathtaking views.

Another fun summer activity in Vail is paddleboarding. You can rent a paddleboard or use one of the gondolas to explore the mountain. There are also hikes on the mountain. You can take a gondola to Vail Ranch to look at the landscape.
